The Greek Football Federation have confirmed Fernando Santos is to succeed Otto Rehhagel as national team coach.
Rehhagel stood down last week following Greece's elimination from the World Cup at the group stage after guiding the country to an unprecedented period of success in his nine-year reign, highlighted by their astonishing title success at Euro 2004.
Santos, 55, is well established in Greek football having had coaching stints at Panathinaikos, PAOK Salonika and AEK Athens in the last decade.
