Wayne Rooney has given England a major World Cup injury worry.
England boss Fabio Capello admitted he substituted Rooney in the second half against Slovenia because of his persistent ankle injury and he is now a doubt ahead of Sunday's last 16 clash.
Rooney has now gone eight games without a goal after Slovenia keeper Samir Handanovic pushed his second half shot onto the post.
Capello praised Rooney's performance after England's victory but will be more concerned that the ankle injury - sustained at Bayern Munich in the Champions League in April - is still troubling him.
Capello said: "I substituted Wayne because his ankle was not so good. He had some problems. I changed the team, substituted him, but I'm really happy with the performance of the team.
"I don't know how he is. I have to wait on the doctor, but I think he will be fine on Sunday. I changed him. I substituted him."
