Germany international Jerome Boateng has defended his brother Kevin-Prince ahead of Wednesday's confrontation between Germany and Ghana, a game which promises fireworks.

Kevin-Prince recently decided to represent Ghana while his brother is part of Joachim Low's Germany squad. Yet the real focus is on the way the rest of the Germany team and fans will react towards Kevin-Prince, whose foul on Michael Ballack in the FA Cup final ruled the captain out of the World Cup.

"Kevin is also only a human who can make errors," Jerome told the Tagesspiegel newspaper. "He didn't want to take the World Cup away from Michael Ballack."
