United States forward Clint Dempsey claims England's players seemed "edgy" during their 1-1 draw on Saturday and believes they were struggling to deal with the pressure.
England got their World Cup campaign off to a flyer when captain Steven Gerrard gave them the lead inside four minutes, but the USA hit back through Dempsey, helped by Robert Green's mistake, to snatch a draw.
"It seemed during the game that they were dealing with a lot of pressure," Dempsey told The Sun. "I don't know why that is, you could just sense it. Even though they scored early, when we came back and we equalised, they just seemed edgy."
