Steven Pienaar is not prepared to let the effects of a gruelling Barclays Premier League campaign hamper his World Cup, despite admitting his "legs are tired".

The South Africa midfielder looked a little jaded in his country's 1-1 draw against Mexico in the opening match last Friday. He was ultimately withdrawn by coach Carlos Alberto Parreira during the second half.

Ahead of Bafana Bafana's next assignment against Uruguay on Wednesday, Pienaar said: "I played a lot of games in the last months and my legs are tired. As long as my mind and heart are willing, I'll keep pushing myself."
