These pieces of living art are the work of internationally acclaimed body paint artist and photographer John Vargas, an Ecuadorian who has earned a strong reputation doing commercial body painting. Vargas works with both male and female models and, as seen in the photos shown on this page, his sources of inspiration are often rather eclectic.
These designs were part of one of the most recognised calendars ever produced which featured twelve beautiful female models ‘wearing’ painted national soccer uniforms. This became the most popular soccer calendar of 2007 and was voted “The Best Calendar in the History of the World Cup” by Telemundo viewers in the USA.
