Fabio Capello will commit himself to England tomorrow - and tell Inter Milan to forget any idea of making him their next coach.

Capello received the assurances he sought from the Football Association in a telephone conversation with new Club England head Sir Dave Richards yesterday.

Richards told Capello that the FA's support and commitment to the Italian was stronger than ever, despite the forced exit of Wembley chief Lord Triesman and, in turn, the Italian signaled he will sign his amended contract tomorrow morning.

Inter President Massimo Moratti had briefed in Italy that he was relaxed about Capello's next step, with the European champions suggesting that any contract signed by the England boss could be torn up if compensation clauses were met.

But the England boss is understood to be "100 per cent happy" with the agreement, with Moratti told last night that he must look elsewhere for the answer to his problems.

Capello's son Pierfillipo, a lawyer and taxation expert, was last night ensuring the draft of the new agreement meets the manager's desires.

While it is understood that there will be no extra money paid, despite the depreciation of sterling against the Euro and the recent introduction of the 50 per cent top rate of tax, it is suggested that payment may be more "tax efficient".

But the FA are confident of announcing the signature before the England squad fly to South Africa tomorrow night and sources close to Capello reiterated last night that the act of signing the deal will be a sign to Inter to forget about him replacing Jose Mourinho at the San Siro.

"When Fabio signs the contract, it means he is officially off the market," the source explained.

"There will be no point in Inter Milan waiting until after the World Cup. When Fabio signs, it means automatically that he will not be going to Inter Milan. They will have to look [elsewhere] for a new coach.

"This is not a game that Fabio is playing. He is signing because he is convinced that is what he wants to do."

While there has been some disquiet at the FA over Inter's tactics, Wembley chiefs will not take the matter any further, feeling that what matters is Capello's signature and the guarantee of his commitment to the England cause through to the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
