Switzerland striker Marco Streller has been ruled out of the World Cup after damaging his hamstring in training.
The 28-year-old, who plays for Basle, sustained the injury on Wednesday and subsequent medical tests have confirmed he will not be available for the showpiece event in South Africa.
Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has not yet announced a replacement but it is likely to be either Albert Bunjaku or Nassim Ben Khalifa.
