Germany have suffered another World Cup injury blow after it was confirmed midfielder Christian Trasch will miss the tournament after spraining an ankle in a warm-up game.
Trasch lasted just eight minutes of the 4-0 friendly win over FC Sudtirol before being helped from the field. And assistant boss Hans-Dieter Flick confirmed the Stuttgart man has now been ruled out of the finals in South Africa after being ordered to rest the joint for four weeks.
He said: "Christian Trasch will not be available for us at the World Cup."
