Chelsea have no less than 16 representatives at World Cup 2010, but which other Premier League, Football League and Scottish Premier League players will be on show in South Africa?
Stars: (L-R) Nani, Fernando Torres and Flourent Malouda will be flying the flag for the Premier League at the World Cup
Chelsea have not only won the coveted League and FA Cup Double, but 16 of the players who were so successful this season will fly the club's flag at the World Cup finals.
Originally they had 17 players selected for the final's provisional squads, but despite the withdrawal of Germany captain Michael Ballack, Chelsea will still be represented by more players than any other major club.
Barcelona have 14 players selected, with Champions League finalists Inter Milan and Bayern Munich 11 players each set to fly to South Africa, the same number as Real Madrid.
Chelsea's 16 will represent seven different countries, while Arsenal and Aston Villa both have 12 players in the squads, while new Champions league qualifiers Tottenham have 10 selected – including the only Brazilian, goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.
Of this season's Premier League, only Birmingham and Burnley are not represented (though Manchester City's Joe Hart spent the season on loan at Birmingham).
No fewer than 27 of the 32 World Cup finalists will have named England-based players in their squads.
And an impressive 143 English-based players are in the 32 squads, along with another nine currently operating at five Scottish clubs, where Celtic lead the way with five players called up.
The Championship is well represented: Crystal Palace, Ipswich, Reading and Plymouth and Watford have all got players called up, while Leeds, promoted from League 1, are also represented.
Of the 28 countries with English-based players, Australia is best represented, with 11 of their squad playing in England.
Several nations have already named the 23 players that will represent them in South Africa, while others have been trimming squads variously numbering 24 to 30. All squads have to be reduced to 23 by June 1.
