Algeria danger man Hameur Bouazza is confident of being fit to face England at the World Cup after overcoming a career-threatening back injury.
Bouazza has undergone intensive treatment in Qatar after Algeria splashed out big money to fly the Blackpool winger to the Middle East.
Former Watford and Fulham star Bouazza, 25, has been suffering with a long-running groin injury which is related to his back problem and has restricted his appearances this season.
Bouazza has missed Blackpool's last few games but is now hoping to be ready to face England on June 18 in Cape Town in the second World Cup Group match.
Portsmouth's Algerian international Hassan Yebda has also gone to Qatar for treatment this season and the nation is now hoping Bouazza will also be fit.
Algeria boss Rabah Saadane said: "It's important that Bouazza is fit. Our mission is to to be as strong as possible for the group. England has the best team in the, but on the pitch we all know that surprises can happen."
