ZAMORA: World Cup dream still alive
BOBBY ZAMORA could gatecrash England's World Cup squad.
The uncapped Fulham striker is finally on Fabio Capello's radar after scoring 19 goals this season.
Capello resisted the temptation to call him into the squad for last month's friendly against Egypt at Wembley.
The Fulham striker feared his chances of a call into the squad-up had disappeared, but has been given some encouragement by the national coach.
Zamora may benefit as Emile Heskey and Carlton Cole are causing concern.
Heskey has spent most of Villa's season on the bench and Cole has struggled for goals at West Ham.
The England chief has also been monitoring Andy Carroll's form at Newcastle as he prepares to lodge his 30 man squad with FIFA.
Capello must name his swollen squad at the end of May before trimming it down to a final 23.
Another good display against Hamburg in the Europa League will boost Zamora's chances.
