Jamie Carragher believes Fabio Capello's proven track record gives England genuine hope of achieving World Cup glory this summer.

The Liverpool defender has returned to the international fold after a self-imposed three-year absence and was used as a second-half substitute in the 3-1 win over Mexico at Wembley on Monday.

Carragher said: "Capello is a focused manager. He is that type of manager. It is difficult for me to say much because I have only been back with England a week."
